I almost swore off our blog because it's been so long since I updated it but I had an hour or so of quite time and thought I would get back on track! Other than getting a new computer and not liking how it stored my pics we also had a small house fire this summer thanks to Burkley and some matches; so we have been renovating our master bathroom for the last 4.5 months. If you haven't had the pleasure of having new tile installed in your house while living in it DON'T!!! What a freakin mess!!! Thank goodness it's over and everything is clean and organized again.

I can't remember the last time these guys took a bath? They love the shower and would stay in there forever if I would let them.
Burkley's favorite place in the world is in Heber at Gma & Gpa Secrist's house. He asks if we are going there almost every time we get buckled in the truck.

Davis can go backwards and now is up on all fours. He can get across the room but I am not sure how? I thing rolling is involved! I am fine with him not crawling just yet.

We finally welcomed our newest member of the family last Thursday March 18th. He weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. The c-section went really well, the best one so far!

He has lots of dark hair and looks like both Burkley and Marshall at times.

He is a great sleeper! (during the day!)

He is such a cutie and his brothers love him and always want to kiss and pet him.

Our new arrival will be here on the 18th of March! That is when my c-section is scheduled and I don't really anticipate going into labor on my own before then so that's when we are expecting him. I am literally counting the days because I HATE being pregnant!!!!!! It will be interesting to see what he looks like and we still don't have a name so we'll probably bring him home nameless like we did with Marshall. But YEAH less than 3 weeks and he'll be here!

We had such a fun Christmas up in the snow at Grandma & Grandpa Secrist's. The kids all got matching pj's and jingle bell slippers from Grandma Hunt - which they LOVED!

Potty Training!

I have to quickly say that we have been potty training Burkley since Thanksgiving and it has not been the nightmare we thought it would be! We started with letting him pick out some special candy that he would get when he went in the potty (or the backyard, since it's the easiest and just #1), then the big boy underware which he was excited to wear and some Matchbox cars for when he went #2. With the exception of a few minor accidents he has done awesome! It is a part-time job, don't get me wrong, but having three children in diapers come March did not sound fun to me. Anyways, yeah Burkley!!

We spent Thanksgiving in Heber and we actually got SNOW! We also got to hunt for our first real Christmas tree! We picked a smaller Douglas Fur because it was so full. It was really fun and the boys loved the snow.

This is pretty much how they looked every night - exhausted! Burkley and Devyn skipped naps everyday because they we having so much fun - which meant turning in early

You can't deny that we are having awesome weather now and it's a shame to not get out and enjoy it! We had the park to ourselves so it was pretty easy for me to not have to worry about Marshall stealing other kids sand toys. He has gotten the idea of going UP to go DOWN the slides.

I decided this morning that I would let Marsh feed himself breakfast and this is what the outcome was!? I still have to say that clean-up was better than having to sit down and feeding him myself!

Yep we are adding another boy to our clan! I guess being a lot more sick doesn't necessarily mean it would be a girl for us. I was having a hard time thinking of any girl names so maybe that was a clue. We are happy none the less and look forward to seeing what he looks like in March!

I haven't blogged in a long time because nothing real exciting has been going on over here, or maybe I just haven't been taking too many pictures lately. We are EXPECTING baby #3 in March and I have been the most sick with this little one than the other two combined! But that has pasted for the most part so things are looking up!

Summer Fun!

This is what people who don't have swimming pools do in the summer!

We turn on the sprinkler in the horses round pen and let the boys get muddy and wet, hose them down and stick 'em in the bath. They LOVE it!

We got to check out an indoor playground last week and the boys had fun running & jumping on the trampoline, hula hooping and climbing all over the bouncy slide thing. I was loving how cool it was! Marshall loved crawling/walking on the gymnastic pads, way more comfortable than our tile floors I'm sure.

Burkley loved trying the hula hoop and actually got it going a time or two!

Once Burkley got the hang of how to climb up to the slide he did it over and over and had a ball.

Since our outdoor activities are limited due to the lovely heat we pitched Burkley's tent in the family room. This provided days of entertainment! Can you tell that Marshall is a trouble maker?

This is our new puppy Roscoe. He is a Jack Russell Terrier and Kenny said we just had to have him to help with the ground squirrels and gofers in the backyard.

This dog has so much energy! When the boys are ready for a break they climb up on the couch where Roscoe can't reach - YET!

4th of July in Heber! I can't believe this AWESOME weather is only 2 1/2 hrs away from the valley! The thunder clouds rolled in every afternoon and gave us a little rain. So fun! We spent most of the trip on the porch where the kids played and swang.

Marshall is such a happy boy - he does this grin where he scrunches up his nose and shows his little buck teeth. He is walking more and more every day.

Not more than 20 mins. before we left to come home did Burkley have a head-on with a tree in the yard! Poor kid - I heard it and it must of hurt! He wasn't very happy on the ride home especially because Marshall tries to steal his choo choo blanket every chance he gets! It's so funny that such a little guy could cause so much trouble - Kenny and I were cracking up!

Ahhhhhhh the sound of silence! It's rare and precious.

We celebrated Grandpa Hunt's birthday yesterday by seeing the new Disney movie "UP" and enjoying some fresh doughnuts at Krispy Kreme! The movie was soooo cute and Burkley did suprisingly well as long as I supplied him with dumb dumb suckers throughout the whole movie.

Nothing says Memorial Day like a pool party! The smell of barbeque and sunscreen and kids splashing and screaming! However this is a day to be thankful for our freedoms and to those who fought and continue to fight for our county. I am extremely grateful for those who have given up time with their own families to fight to keep mine safe. Especially to those who paid the biggest price and didn't get to return to our great nation. This is something that I will try to remember often and not take for granted because it is why America is the home of the free.

I walked outside to check on Burkley who was "helping" daddy paint the fence and I found Groucho Marx! I was dying laughing! He had been throwing dirt up in the air over his head and it seemed to stick on his upper lip and eyebrows! When I showed him this pic he laughed and said "dirty face!" I'll second that!

Marshall is into pointing for some reason. He'll crawl away from me and turn around a few times and point back to me. I can't believe he'll turn one in a few weeks!

We had visitors last week when Kenny's cousins came to visit. It took Burkley like 5 mins to stop being shy and then he was stuck to them like glue! Mommy who? It was actually really nice and we had a lot of fun. They made a couple of trips to the Kleins house to see their horses and Burkley fell in love with their day old baby goats.

We woke up last Thursday to find our new colt here! Kenny was hoping to see the birth but she came in the middle of the night. She is so cute and follows her mama everywhere. I asked Burkley what we should name her and he said "boat" and then "hamburger." We'll have to work on the name thing with him!

I can't belive how fast time flies! My baby is 9 & 1/2 months old already! He has discovered chocolate animal crackers and loves them. Too bad ,for me, they are sooooo messy!
A visit from Grandma and Grandpa Secrist or "Shampa and gamma" as Burkley puts it.

These boys are fish! They love the bath and if Marshall is anything like Burkley he will love the pool as well. I can't wait to take them swimming but am not looking forward to the heat. I will be asking the same question as last summer - "why do we live in AZ?"

We're still waiting for any movement forward - right now it's all going backwards and getting wedged in the strangest places. I will miss the non-mobile stage as soon as his all over the place and getting into everything.

So I was talking to Burkley as we left the store and headed through the parking lot to the truck and he doesn't seem to be responding to anything I am saying and I couldn't see him because of Marshall's car seat. This is what I found when we got to the truck and I couldn't resist snapping a pic. Funny thing is that he had already ate 2 whole pieces. The boy loves his pizza!

Last Wed. as I was trying to fix my Christmas lights outside Burkley had an accident and broke his leg! Being that he is such a touch kid I knew something was really wrong after 30 mins of him still saying it hurt. So off to the urgent care we went w/ Marshall in tow. Both bones were broken (or bowed, which means bent but they still consider it a fracture) and a temp. splint was put on him. The next day a fiberglass cast was put on that stopped just under his knee. That afternoon I took Marshall to his 6 month appt. and returned to find Burkley missing some toes or at least that's what it looked like. He pulled his foot up into the cast and eventually it came off completely! The Dr.'s office was already closed so for the whole weekend he crawled around w/ nothing on it - thank goodness for Motrin! Now he has a lovely cast all the way up to his thigh and he isn't really loving it. Thank goodness his follow up is only 3 1/2 wks away. It's both kind of sad and funny to watch him crawl around and drag his leg behind him because it doesn't bend. My poor boy!

The Big Reveal! FINALLY!!

BEFORE: Plain boring tan walls, no curtains, tired bedding, cheap, little night stands, NO PERSONALITY!!

AFTER: Fun vinyl lettering w/ pictures of my sweet babies, fun stripes, floating night stands, great curtains (made by my awesome mom!), comfy bedding and wall mounted lamps. FUN & COZY!!!!!

I am FINALLY done with my master bedroom makeover! I have been planning it for months now and got it all put together one weekend when Kenny was gone hunting. My parents and I worked tiredlessly all day and they didn't end up leaving until 11:30pm that night! Kenny was so shocked and said he felt like he was in a hotel suite, which was exactly what I was going for. I HATED my bedroom before and didn't want to be in there very badly. My room used to be a "catch all" for the rest of the house but not anymore! Now I love walking into it and I keep it picked up because I always want it to look perfect!

Our first trip to see Santa. Marshall broke out in tears as soon as I placed him on Santa's lap and Burkley didn't know what to think. Santa looks good though.
Watching cartoons at Gma & Gpa Secrists' in Heber over Thanksgiving. Burkley will be 2 in January and loves to do anything with Daddy and be outside. He is getting braver and braver when it comes to playing at the parks and going down the big slides.

Marshall is 6 months old now and is such a happy baby! He sat up for the first time last week and will soon be scooting and crawling.

We tried rice cereal and he was totally disgusted, we'll have to try again.

Last week we packed up and headed for the ZOO! I think Kenny was more excited than Burkley as he pointed out every animal. It was a nice cool day and our first outing in my new double jogger which I absolutely LOVE! Burkley could get in and out w/ out any problem and we were able to recline Marshall and let him nap.

Well I've learned my lesson about Halloween costumes! Never again will I dress my kids in costumes that are too warm for AZ. Is it just me or did it seem to be cooler at Halloween when we were kids? Anyways, we taught Burkley what a monkey does so he at least knew how to act if anyone asked him. We went to the Halloween carnival in my mom's neighborhood where Burkley just wanted to run wild and see everything. It was a bit stressful to keep track of him in the sea of people there. He did get to ride the train and fish for toys.
It would of been funny if Marshall was a banana but we already had the hot dog outfit.

Another Roadtrip

The boys & I headed up to Heber again this weekend along w/ my sister Bettina and her kids and my mom & dad. We went to Snowflake on Saturday for my cousins wedding & reception. The weather was amazing as always and we enjoyed being outside where the kids LOVE to throw rocks, dig in the dirt and find crazy things that keep them occupied. It's so "kick back" up there and fun to enjoy each others company along w/ some games and a movie.

Sorry it's taken me so long to update - been getting lots of projects done around the house! Here's what we've been up to; Burkley had a ball his first time at Peter Piper riding the little rides and playing w/ his cousins.

Burkley found this baby doll of mine in a closet and wanted to hug him and carry him around. Even if his dad doesn't agree I think it's good for little boys to play w/ babies.
Marshall can roll over and scoot forward. I love this stage because they aren't mobile yet.

Burkley loves to be outside helping his daddy w/ the horses. Here is his first solo ride on a horse and he was lovin it!
It was right after a monsoon storm so the whole backyard was a huge mud pit and we just let him play and get so dirty.
I even let him splash around in a huge rain puddle at the end of the street to get some of the mud off and then home to the bathtub. He is such a BOY!

Today Burkley had a playdate w/ Tillman at San Tan Mall. The play area was alittle too hot so we let them run around at the splash pad in their diapers.

We got away for the long weekend and headed to the high country. This is "Lady", grandpa's new lab puppy, the kids just loved her!

Marshall is 10 weeks old today! He is getting so big & smiles & laughs alot. He sleeps through the night more than not which I love! Burkley loves him & is always giving him kisses.

More swimming! We were invited to go to the pool at Seville again & Burkley had the best time. Marshall stayed at home w/ daddy so mommy could have fun also!
We put floaties on Burk a few weeks ago and he turned into a daredevil even w/out them so I really have to watch him good.

Burkley LOVES to get a hold of our phones and pretend he's having a conversation w/ someone. In Kenny's case he's actually called guys he works with a few times! It doesn't matter if it's a real phone or the tv remote or his sippy cup. I am not sure if he's trying to say "hello" or "love you" but he cracks us up! Then when he realizes that I have my camera in front of him he says "cheese." He is picking up on things more and more and it's so fun to watch him grow.

We made another trip up north to cool off and celebrate Pioneer Day in Snowflake. This is how Marshall spent a lot of the weekend.

We escaped the heat last weekend and headed up to Heber along with Kenny's aunt & uncle and their kids who came from Utah! It was so fun to be up where the monsoon rains come almost every afternoon. Thunder and lightning were every where! It made us question why we live in the hot valley! We did get to go to a bazaar at the Bison Ranch, took trips to the lake and the rim, rode the quad, ate lots of great food and gathered on the porch every evening to relax and chat. It was so much fun and just the break we were needing!

It's been almost 5 weeks since Marshall joined our family and we seem to be adjusted pretty well. I, of course, am still trying to get used to being up in the middle of the night and hope that that will be coming to an end in the next 2 months or so! What do you do when you finally get your newborn to sleep at 6:45 am and then your toddler is up at 7:15 am? Those are the days of morning cartoons in the highchair and mom not getting out of her pj's until almost dinner! If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share! You just have to laugh and try to enjoy your babies as much as you can and hope your husband knows that you won't always look like death when he comes home.
Here are some recent pics of my boys. Burkley loves to hold Marshall and give him what he thinks a kiss is. He calls him his "baby bb-bb" and it's really cute!

My brother Richard is serving in Iraq and will be returning home to Hawaii in August to get married to his fiance Bri. They met in Hawaii where they are both stationed. We are so excited to welcome her into our family!

Just wanted to wish a Happy Father's Day to my dad & my sweetheart! Kenny is the greatest dad and a huge help to me. He loves our kids so much and spends a lot of time playing w/ Burkley now that I have a newborn to take care of.
My dad has become the biggest "softie" since becoming a grandpa! He would do anything for any one of his grandkids from popping pop corn to getting in the pool!

It's been a week since he joined our family and he's already changed so much. Little Marshall was born weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 inches long at 12:58 pm Wed. May 28th, 2008, just a day before his grandpa Hunt's birthday. We didn't know who he looked like but can see some resemblances to Burkley's first baby pictures.

Holding down Burkley's arms was the only way we would let him close to the baby. He is a bit too rough and wants to pinch and poke a little too much! And yes he's already smacked him in the face but it didn't faze him one bit. He's already learning to take the abuse from his older brother.

Grandma Secrist came and helped us the first week and was a tremendous help! The first two nights home were really crazy and I was exausted!

Today is the big day! It seems like we've (I've) been waiting forever for this day to come! We'll have our new little guy around 12:30 pm and it will be fun to see if he looks anything like Kenny or I or even Burkley. We are so blessed to welcome him to the world and to our family. And no we still haven't decided on a name so hopefully we'll have one when we leave the hospital. I'll get a picture posted as soon as I can.

The Countdown!

The countdown begins! I have less than a week until we have a new baby! I have been shopping for all the things I never got for Burkley like a baby monitor & changing pad. Bettina & I have hit the malls and found some awesome deals on baby clothes the last few days. The spare bedroom/junk room has been transformed into a nursery and is pretty much ready for it's new occupant. It looks like we are going to wait and see what the baby looks like before we decide on a name but I think I will get the one I want. We are excited to see who he ends up looking like. We'll keep you posted!

Tempe Water Park

We made it over to Tempe Town Lake Water Park the other day and Burkley had so much fun! It was great for me because it was a splash pad so he could run around and do what he wanted without me worrying about him drowning. I am glad we went because it may be a while before we get back there once the baby comes. Speaking of our "new" baby, I scheduled my c-section for May 28th! That gives me two weeks to get ready and I can't wait!!! Now we just have to pick out a name!

Baby Update

We found out Friday on my 35th week mark, that the baby was measuring 2 weeks bigger at 37 weeks. So I guess technically it moves my due date up to May 24th but we'll see what the doctor says! I am definately down with having this baby a couple of weeks earlier!!

As the arrival of our second son approaches I can't help but think how fast time flies! It seems just the other day that Burkley was propped up on the couch with pillows because he couldn't sit up yet. Now I can barely keep up with him as he races down the halls at church or straight down the driveway to the street. Here's a little of what I remember.

The horses are home! Kenny has been waiting for the day when he could bring his horses home and keep them on our own property. It's kind of fun to look out back and actually see horses eating the alfalfa that is nearly 3 feet high now. The best part is that Kenny is home doing his "horse thing" instead of one of three other places - that's my favorite part! Here a few pics of our new arrivals.

Rocky Point

We got to spead the weekend with friends down in Rocky Point this weekend. It was nice and relaxing and the weather was unbelievable! It was a perfect weekend trip, not too far & pretty affordable. Kenny's parents were nice enough to come stay w/ Burkley so we could get away and not be mommy & daddy for a few days. We enjoyed some awesome seafood and tacos which was Kenny's favorite part I'm sure. Luckily all the "spring breakers" were clearing out so it wasn't crowded or loud. These are some pictures from our balcony. Rocky Point has changed so much in recent years, tons of resorts line the beaches. It's a different Rocky Point from highschool and camping on the beach and having our car stolen!

Tomorrow is my sweetheart's birthday and also St. Patrick's Day! Kenny is the hardest working guy I know and is the best daddy! He loves his son so much & likes to snuggle with him before he goes to bed. I love the little songs he makes up and sings to Burkley. He loves the outdoors and getting out on his horses. He makes me laugh & I love to see his smiling face everyday. I am so thankful to have him as my partner and I love him with all my heart. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!!!

This was Burkley's first time at the mall play area. It took him a while to get used to all the other kids but then he really thought it was fun!

We poured new concrete countertops and Burkley just loved playing where the kitchen sink went. By the way I don't recommend going almost 2 months without a kitchen sink - it's torture! Soon we will have everything put back together - yeah!!!

We found out on Friday that we will be having another BOY in June! Only sixteen months will separate him from Burkley so we hope that they will be great friends as they grow up. I am also relieved to not have to buy all the girl stuff right now!
So far all the Hunt girls only have one sex, Debbie has all girls, Laura has all boys, I will have 2 boys and Bettina has a girl and is expecting (I hope I can start spreading that?) and HOPES it's a girl. I guess we'll see in a few months!

Thanksgiving in Mexico!

Who would of thought that we would get a white Thanksgiving in Mexico? We went to the colonies to celebrate with Kenny's family and were surprised on Sat. morning with snow! It snowed all day and we were without power for most the evening and throughout the night. It was so beautiful driving home with everything totally covered with snow!

Sorry we have been MIA. We finally made the move to Queen Creek and have been without cable/internet for 3 weeks! You don't even want to know how many DVD's we've been watching! Kenny got his horse property and I avoided living in a trailer for the next 3-5 years. I will post pics of the house soon, we are busy doing everything to update it and make it our own.

Burkley was a hot dog for his first halloween and Devyn was Little Red Riding Hood. Now that he's crawling he didn't like being constrained for very long.

He still LOVES the bathtub and could stay in there forever! He weighed 21 lbs. at his 9 month checkup and has two bottom teeth.

Okay, I finally got our blog up and running! I am still trying to figure it all out but will start off with some pictures of our family especially of our bubbly, baby boy, Burkley. He just turned 6 months old and is so fun. He loves his Baby Einstien dvd's and playing with his daddy. Kenny can't wait to take him on horse hikes and trips to the mountians.
